Overview of Education Courses
What courses must I take? What experiences will I have in my classes that will help me grow? Students told what their experience in the Grove City College classroom were like as they prepare to be educators. Students talked about courses from freshman year all the way through student teaching highlighting projects and experiences that impacted them as educators.
Field Experiences within Education
At Grove City College, we believe field experiences should begin early in an Education major’s studies and continue throughout their college career in preparation for the capstone student teaching experience. Students explained how they put theory into practice as they work with fellow students and professionals in the field. What makes Grove City College unique is the spiraling of educational experiences.
- Starting with Freshman year getting into classes to observe classroom teachers.
- Sophomore and junior years students are doing field experiences in their methods courses
- By the time you get to your Senior year, you are prepared for student teaching.
