Friday Flyer for Room 33
February 13, 2014
What are we learning about in 3rd Grade?
In Reader’s Workshop, students will ask and answer questions before, during, and after reading literature and informational text. Students will also explain how aspects of a text's illustrations contribute to what is conveyed through words in literature. In Writer’s Workshop, students will continue to research and group related information about a famous person of their choice. They will also work on the first drafts of their biographies.
Students are working in Unit 5 which focuses on multiplication and division. Students are also practicing multiplication facts and taking timed tests several times a week. Make sure to have your child practice multiplication facts at home as well.
We are studying geography in social studies. We are also studying the contributions of Martin Luther King Jr.
