Thank you PTA for Appreciating the BES Staff!
Thank you to the PTA, Hospitality Committee, Room Reps and parents for taking the time to appreciate the Brookwood Elementary staff during this week's Teacher Appreciation Week. From door decorations, sweet notes, drawings, and flowers to snacks and treats during Be Sweet to Staff on Thursday, the Brookwood Elementary staff truly feels appreciated and recognized for their hard work!
BES Morning Announcements Guest Host
Mrs. Lillard has had a guest host on the announcements this week! Kindergartener Isaac Leon from Ms. Neal's class joined Mrs. Lillard each morning to greet students from the broadcast studio. Isaac has helped say Good Morning, cheer on students, and announce Colt Compliments. Reminding students of Brookwood Elementary's 3Rs was the part of the announcements where Isaac really shined! He also discovered you can check out how good you look hosting in a studio monitor while on the air!
Isaac got this opportunity to be on the announcements for a week with Mrs. Lillard through an auction for the Brookwood Schools Foundation on Bidding for Good.
GCPS Perception Surveys: Opportunity to Review Student Survey
Each year, to help improve our schools, Gwinnett County Public Schools collects feedback from our families, students, and staff members about their school experience. Here are key dates and important information regarding the survey process for our families, students, and staff:
- March 14-April 2: Family Survey is open. (GCPS will send you a SchoolMessenger link to the survey on March 14. The survey—available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese—also will be available in the Parent Portal.)
- March 23-April 20: Student Survey is open for students in grades 4-8. (This survey will be available in the Student Portal.)
