START HERE- NHA
"Let today be the start of something new."
Greetings from the virtual desk of The Nurtured Heart Approach...
In case you missed our weekly messages in the spring, we are circling back to do a little regrounding in Nurtured Heart. Previous messages can be found after this message in the "Nuggets you may have missed".
Our goal is to provide you some actionable strategies to support your relationships using the Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA). At it's most granular level, NHA is about relentlessly using your energy to lift up those things you want to encourage.
START HERE:
1. Observe relational energy:
How are kids accessing connection with you?
When do you show up with a BIG reaction?
How do you acknowledge greatness (the things that your child does well)?
2. Say out loud what you notice about your child:
- "I saw you...(behavior-look for tomato soup)"
- "I noticed... (behavior-you put on your underwear)"
- "I heard you...(behavior-speak so kindly to your sister)"
Don't underestimate the power of your noticings! It's the million little pebbles that build a mountain.
To you and your child's Significance, Humanity & GREATNESS!!!!
