A Word From Principal Haynes
We had a busy week last week and I want to thank those of you who had a hand in organizing an event or stayed just to watch and help out. We thank you all for all that you do!! This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week!! I want to thank each and every one of you for all that you do in your respective roles. It takes a village to orchestrate the many task that we accomplish here at Welleby, so I appreciate all of you who have stepped in to help in any way that you can.
From morning and afternoon posts, to cafeteria duty, to organizing an event, and everything in between, I appreciate all of your efforts every day. Don't forget the PTA has a wonderful lunch planned for you on Tuesday after school in the Media Center so bring an empty belly, ready to eat. Friday, stop in the kitchen during your planning/special for some sweet treats from Administration! Of course, after so much sugar, a cool swim would be nice!! Enjoy your swim session on Friday!
Have an AMAZING week!!

Articulation Cards
Now is the time to begin thinking about your articulation cards and the information that is needed on them. Teams will not have the added responsibility of creating classes this year, we are taking that burden off your plate. Instead, you need to make sure that you have all of the necessary information on your articulation card to help us to make a good placement (please be honest). As you look at the comment section, you need to be careful WHAT you write there. It may be better to put a sticky note on it that says "See Me".
Articulation cards will need to be turned in to your current Team Leader no later than June 5th. Teams should separate their boy and girl cards then place them in order from highest BAS score to lowest BAS score. Don't worry about the math, we will take a close look at the entire card when doing placements.

DISTRICT UPDATES
Outlook is Coming!
Last week Mr. Bellevy and Ms. Hunt attended a Train the Trainer session on Outlook. The roll-out date is set for May 16, 2016---right around the corner!! We will be communicating to you how we are going to roll-out and provide professional development on the features of Outlook. We will make sure to provide a lot of guidance and support for everyone who may be leery of the change. Those of you who have been in the system as long as I have will remember way back when we had Quarterdeck Mail which we THOUGHT was the best email system. We hated CAB and wanted Quarterdeck back. Then we shifted and adjusted to CAB and it became our new best friend. Now, as we shift again with technology and move to Outlook, you will find that there are some really great features.
