National Honor Society Update

Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter: A String Theory School

Welcome Alpha Class!

Congratulations to all of our newest "alpha" members class. This year we had over 120 student eligible for National Honor Society and we will be inducting our newest class of 81 sophomores and juniors on the 2nd of February, starting at 8:15 am.

NHS Induction Ceremony

Tuesday, Feb. 2nd, 8:30-9:30am

1600 Vine Street

Philadelphia, PA

Starting off 2016 Right!

We recently had 9 NHS members not sleep in one morning of the Keystones and help out MANNA, a Philadelphia food service that provides meals to ill people throughout the Philadelphia region. Students spent three hours packaging, cooking and sorting food when they would normally be "sleeping in" from passing the Keystones.

Thank you for your hard work ladies and gents!

Treasurer's Report

In December we had two major fundraisers for NHS: a candy cane gram and a dress down day. Between both we were able to raise over 500 dollars-- 115 we were able to donate to St. John's Hospice in Philadelphia. The remaining money is being split between various smaller charities students have suggested, such as ACCT. If you have any suggestions for where more money could be donate, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Ledford.
