As the world slowly begins to find a new "normal",

the Library has several services available for our patrons.


Curbside Service

Curbside Hold Pickup is now available at RVDL.

At this time, holds can only be fulfilled on items that are available at RVDL.

Interlibrary Loans are not yet available.

It's hard to believe that Summer Reading is almost here!


Registration is now open at

and you may begin logging reading on Monday, June 8th.

What is READsquared?

READsquared is an "online, collaborative Summer Learning tool."

What this means is that we can have a Summer Reading Program virtually!


There are 4 separate programs, divided by age:

Birth to Entering 1st Grade

Entering 2nd to 5th Grade

Entering 6th to 12th Grade

Adults


Each program features unique requirements to complete your Summer Reading Goals.

Prizes and Badges awarded throughout the summer will be

available at the end of the Reading Program.

Our READsquared site has many books and audiobooks listed under our Reading Lists tab. Most of these are linked to various eResources, so they may be downloaded to your device to enjoy.

Birth to 1st Grade Summer Reading

This program is designed for newborns to early readers to encourage life-long reading habits.


Points are earned through reading or listening to books.

Each book logged will earn you 25 points towards your 1,000 point goal!

Points are also awarded for completing Missions and

participating in Programs through the READsquared site.

2nd to 5th Grade Summer Reading

This program is designed for young readers who are growing more confident in their reading skills. It is geared towards children who will be entering 2nd-5th grade in the fall.


Points are earned through reading or listening to books.

Each minute reading/listening will earn 1 point towards your 1,000 point goal!

Points are also awarded for completing Missions

and participating in Programs through the READsquared site.

6th to 12th Grade Summer Reading

This program is designed for Teens and Tweens entering Junior High or High School in the fall.


Points are earned through reading or listening to books.

Each minute reading/listening will earn 1 point towards your 1,000 point goal!

Points are also awarded for completing Missions

and participating in Programs through the READsquared site.

Adult Summer Reading

This program is designed for adults age 18 & up to encourage life-long reading habits.


Points are earned through reading or listening to books.

Each minute reading/listening will earn 1 point towards your 1,000 point goal!

Trustee Position Available

River Valley District Library has an open seat on our Board of Trustees. The Board helps support the Library's Mission "to improve and enrich the lives of our users through information, education, and recreation". Meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:30 pm. Trustees are required to live in the Library District.
