CHS Library will begin celebrating the holidays when we return from Thanksgiving Break by having the 12 days of Christmas. Each day will be a different Makerspace activity that you can take advantage of during off periods or during lunch. Check out each day on the website to see what is happening!

TAYSHAS Top Ten is a list of books that are nominated in the state of Texas. The goal of the TAYSHAS reading list is to motivate young adults to become lifelong readers and to participate in the community of readers in Texas. Students in grades 9 – 12 are encouraged to read books for pleasure from the list which includes fiction and nonfiction titles. CHS students can now take part in a reading challenge hosted by the CHS Library from November 3rd to April 30th! Read and Win! See attachments for more details.
Battle of the Books - We are looking for students who would like to be a part of team for this campus and district book battle! Enjoy reading a variety of books and competing with a team to win trophies, medals, ribbons and more!
Due to Covid regulations and UIL guidelines, all K-12 Students will be required to have a parent accompany them to all CISD Athletic games. Families must also remain together in the stands and Students will not be allowed to congregate together to form a student section. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate through this season.
Tickets will be available to participants and their families first, all remaining tickets will open to the public on the day of the event at Noon.
If you do not have a parking pass your car will have a boot placed on it. You will have to pay a $25.00 fee to have the boot removed. If you need a Parking Pass, please come to the front office to sign up and pay $40.00 for one.
Please sign up on the clipboard located outside the attendance office. Once you have added your name to the list, it will be ready to be picked up in 48 hours.
Doctor’s and Parent’s notes for student absences: Please email doctor’s or parent’s notes for your student’s absence to either firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. These notes can also be faxed to 972 427-6136. If a paper note is brought into the attendance office , it will have to sit for 72 hours before it will be entered into the student’s attendance record. If you have any questions, please call the attendance office at 972 427-6150 x 5305.
