It's a Boy for Mrs. Zamora!
Mrs. Zamora gave birth to a healthy baby boy last Thursday, September 15. I am glad to report both mom and baby are doing fine. Mr. Torres, a certified teacher will be the long term sub while Mrs. Zamora is out for maternity leave. He will be planning with the first grade team and continuing with the same lessons as they are. Please feel free to contact Mr. Torres, just as you would Mrs. Zamora should you have any questions or concerns, or call the front office if we may be of help. 940-393-7600
Mrs. Cook Anxiously Awaiting Her Little One!
Mrs. Cook's little one will soon be arriving. She will definitely be missed at Rann while she is off on maternity leave, but Mr. Donald Wann, a retired administrator will be with us to help our students and staff carry on as normal as possible. Mr. Wann will be handling many of the things Mrs. Cook handled, such as attendance and discipline. Should you receive a phone call from Rann Elementary it may be Mr. Wann contacting you in regards to these two areas. Please feel free to contact Mr. Wann or Mrs. Christian should you need anything. 940-393-7600

We can never Communicate too much!
Communication is the key to anything that is successful and the downfall of anything that fails. Rann has a multitude of ways we communicate with our parents.
- Rann Webpage - go to www.decaturisd.us and click on schools to reach the Rann webpage. On the Rann website is a calendar for parents to stay up to date with our events at Rann. The calendar is below the picture.
- Rann Twitter -http://twitter.com/DISDRann #rannlearns Many of our teachers have their own twitter name so contact them if you would like to follow them on Twitter.
- Rann Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/Rann-Elementary-School
- Class Dojo - all of our classrooms have setup classroom accounts for parents only to follow. Teachers use this to share things going on in the classroom and events coming up. Please check with your child's teacher if you would like to follow this.
- Class Newsletters - weekly in your child's folder
- The Power of One Newsletter - monthly online newsletter
We love communicating with you, however sometimes a good old phone call is the best! Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email, or a note through the mail if we may be of any help to you!
