Franklin Middle School is hosting a coat drive for our students. We are requesting contact information for parents and students who would like to receive a new coat, hats and gloves. Currently there are 2 busses filled with students from the 3 middle schools (Adams, Stevenson and Franklin) for the Washington D.C trip. We would like more of our Franklin students to attend. Please consider purchasing some Double Good popcorn to help sponsor our students for the trip. Click the popcorn icon to place an order.

Thank you for your support of Wayne-Westland Community Schools. On November 8, 2022, voters approved a 10-year Sinking Fund to generate about $2.2 million yearly for school building capital improvements. Investing in our infrastructure will help us achieve the district’s goal of ensuring that our facilities are safe, secure, up-to-date and attractive for the well-being of students, staff and the community.

The Sinking Fund allows the district to keep more than 1,868,816 square feet of educational space and 587 acres of grounds and property in a condition suitable for the thousands of students and community members who use the schools daily.

Updates will include:

• Mechanical, electrical and plumbing upgrades
• Carpet, floor, door, light and window replacements
• Kitchen remodels
• Roof replacements
• Parking lot, sidewalk and curb additions and renovations
• Security software upgrades
• Wifi upgrades
• Student and teacher device upgrades
