PTO Fundraiser Begins Today!
This year the MGMS PTO is holding a Christmas Tree & Wreath sale as our main fundraiser. We are excited about selling premium Frasier fir trees and wreaths from Blowing Rock, NC --we are hopeful this is a big, successful fundraiser that enables us to continue to fund the needs and requests of administration, faculty, staff, and students.
The fundraiser starts today (September 29th). Fliers and forms will go home with students today. The fundraiser ends on October 12 (because that is not a CREW day, we have instructed students to turn them into their 1st period/HR teachers). Attached are two fliers with important information regarding the fundraiser. We are accepting cash and checks (payable to MGMS PTO) for the orders. People can also pay by credit card athttps://squareup.com/store/MGMSGators.
Learning Commons News
***Want a Chance to Attend the Palmetto Bowl?
MGM is participating in the Read Your Way to the Big Game Reading Contest this year! This is a chance for your student to win tickets to the Clemson vs. USC game at the Palmetto Bowl in November. For students to be entered into the drawing to receive four tickets and sideline passes, they need to read 6 books between September 5th to November 6th. Reading logs are available from ELA teachers, the Learning Commons, download one from the Learning Commons Schoology Course, or use this form. Turn your reading log into your ELA teacher or the Learning Commons by November 6th to be entered into the drawing.
***The Learning Commons has a MakerSpace where students can create and collaborate with different projects and DIY activities during their lunchtime. We would like to have some activities with Lite Brites. If you have old Lite Brites/pieces that you would be willing to donate, please have your student bring them by the Learning Commons. We are also in need of bottle caps. Thanks so much!
