Fall Options
In 2021-22, HSD plans to offer full-time, in-person instruction to all students at either their neighborhood school or the school from which they have received a transfer approval. This is the default assumption for every student who is not currently enrolled at Hillsboro Online Academy (HOA).
Students who transferred to HOA in the 2020-21 school year have been returned to their neighborhood school unless they requested a new transfer to HOA for the 2021-22 school year.
If you prefer that your child continues in a full-time CDL model where they receive all of their instruction online (available for grades K-8 only), are asked to complete the online HSD transfer application by the end of the day today (extended date), so we can staff that option appropriately.
It is important to note that students in grades K-8 who select the CDL model will not be directly tied to their neighborhood school. They will be attending classes with students from across their feeder at the elementary level, and with all students who select that model at the middle school level.

If you want your child to participate in full-time CDL or if you wish to enroll them at Hillsboro Online Academy, please complete the online HSD transfer application no later than Friday, June 4. If you need a paper copy of the application, please click here or contact your school’s main office.
For the full-time CDL model: please select “CDL North K-6” if you live in the Glencoe or Liberty attendance area.
Important Dates:
6/9 - Library Book Return Event Begins
6/7 - Last Supply Pick Up, 3:30-5:30 pm
6/15 and 6/17 - 6th Grade Celebration Picnics (students and staff)
6/15 -6/16 - No WIN groups in the afternoon
6/17 - Last day of school, regular dismissal time
6/17 - Chromebook and Supply Drop off 1-2 pm
6/18 - Chromebook and Supply Drop off 8-2 pm

Students will need to turn in the following items:
- Chromebooks & chargers
- Hotspots
- Textbooks
- Library Books
- Whiteboards
- Additional supplies as determined by the classroom teacher
Summer Program
Library Book Return
Overdue book notices have been sent out. Our goal is to try to locate as many books as possible and get them returned to our library. If you find the book, please turn it in to our library carts on the way in to school or turn it in to the large box at supply pick up on June 7th. If you cannot find the book, please email Mrs. Lewis - lewise@hsd.k12.or.us - and let her know so we can account for it. You can click on the slide deck linked below to learn how to check your child's account as well. On June 9 we will begin our library book return event. Each class will have the opportunity to earn Otter Pops at recess once all of their library books are accounted for!
