A Note From Mrs. Powell

High Expectations Still in Place for Remote Learning

Parents, as we continue to provide high quality remote learning for all students virtually, we ask for your continued support and participation in your child’s education. While school looks different this year, it is still school. Our students are expected to be in attendance daily, participate in and be engaged in class, complete all assignments, and continue to have Montclair PRIDE!

Here are some reminders and tips on how you can help your child be successful:

  1. Students should be logged in to live instruction from 8:00-11:00 (11:30).

  2. Students should upload all of their work into Canvas by Friday of each week. New assignments are assigned every Monday and all assignments are due by Friday of each week.

  3. Students should attend small group instruction with an adult daily. The adult could be the classroom teacher, one of our resource teachers, or an instructional assistant.

  4. Students should complete all resource assignments in Canvas weekly. This includes Art, Music, PE, Media, and Digital Tools.

  5. Students should log in to iStation and SuccessMaker daily for at least 15-20 minutes each.

K-2 Parents-be sure to check your child’s email. We send information from the school safely to the child’s email.

3-5 Parents-be sure your child is checking his/her email daily and you should check their email behind them for important information from the school.
