Excellence In Everything, Volume IX, March 24
One More Time!
We need to be at our best as we go into the last nine weeks...here are a few things I want to remind you of:
Bell to bell instruction should be the standard.
Never leave kids unattended. Don't put kids in that position where they don't have adult supervision.
Make sure students do not leave your room without a pass - if you need more, ask Mrs. Kunze and she can print some out for you.
See you all in the morning!
Major Shout Out to Mrs. Morrow and the her Project Vinatta crew for their work in the girls bathroom over Spring Break! Thank you, Project Vinatta, for working to make LVMS No Place for Hate!
Grades
1. All grades for work assigned for the third nine weeks should be in your grade
book by 8:00am, Tuesday March 26th. Any delay in posting grades will cause
EVERYONE’S GRADES to be delayed because proof sheets can’t be run!
2. Students can be given 0’s for individual assignments and exams; however, no
student should have a 0 for a nine weeks grade average. If a student is absent
and they owe you work, please put an ‘I’ (for Incomplete) in for their grade. They
have until 4:00pm on Friday, March 29 th to make up the grade.
3. Proof sheets will be run Tuesday, March 26th, and delivered to you that morning.
4. Do not make any changes in grade book from 8 AM, Tuesday, March 26th, until
you receive notice. When you receive your proof sheets, make sure each student
has a grade. Please see Alison Atkinson if you have questions about new
students’ incoming grades.
5. Examine your proof sheets carefully. Make any corrections to the proof sheets in
RED ink. Sign and date each sheet and return to Ms. Kunze by 8:00 am,
Wednesday, March 27th.
6. Remember, you cannot assign a 9 week grade on the report card higher than
100.
7. Be careful of 68’s and 69’s. Please review grades prior to submitting.
8. Report cards will be run Wednesday, March 27th.
9. After report cards are run, any changes made to the grade book must be
submitted in writing to Ms. Kunze; email is recommended. For example: John
Smith, 2 nd period Math had a 69 but after making up a quiz now has a 72.
10. No changes in grades will be made after Friday, March 29th, ( unless due to
teacher error) so it is important that grades are correct.
Coming Up!
Make sure to read the emails from Mrs. Walker and you fulfill your duty spot. If there are questions, or students wandering around aimlessly, please let us know so we can get them where they need to be.
April 2- 6th Math, 8th Algebra
April 3- 6th Reading
April 15- 8th History
