Chorus Earns Superior Ratings
Last week we sent 85 chorus and musical theater students to Disney to perform. Students were rated on their performance abilities and were then graded by each of the judges. RMS earned straight superior ratings from each of the judges, the highest rating available in this event! Recordings for the performance can be found on the RMS Chorus Webpage. We would like to thank Mr. Abreu for his dedication and all the chaperones who attended the trip.
Band Earns Superior Ratings
Our RMS Symphonic Band and 7th Grade Band both received superior ratings (highest ratings possible) at the GMEA State Performance Evaluations. Notably, Additionally, every single ensemble received a superior rating in their Sight-Reading - they had only 6 minutes to study a piece of music they had never seen before without playing a single note, then play the entire thing without stopping. The Sight-Reading judges were highly complementary of our students. We appreciate both Mr. McGee and Ms. Larkin for their hard work and efforts. Congrats to all.
HOSA - Largest Middle School Chapter in the World
Many of our HOSA students attended State Leadership Conference this year and we would like to recognize them for their accomplishments. In addition, for the 5th year in a row, RMS has been awarded the Largest Middle School Chapter in the World award.
Click HERE for a list of individual recognitions that our students took home. Congratulations to all and thanks to Ms. Birch for her leadership.

Find out more about open positions and nominate yourself here: https://rmsptso.org/2022-2023-rms-ptso-board-nomination-form/ You can also email riverwatchmsptso@gmail.com to speak to a current board member and/or attend our next board meeting to learn more.
