Halloween Costumes
Costumes may be worn to school on Friday, 10/29. Please adhere to the following guidelines when selecting a costume to bring to school:
- All costumes must follow the district guidelines for dress code.
- Mandated face masks must be worn unless students are eating/drinking.
- Costume masks are discouraged, but may be worn during the party as long as your child can see to walk safely.
- No bloody, violent, or gory costumes.
- No weapons of any kind - real or toy.
- Hair styled at home should not be so unusual as to create a distraction for the class during academic activities.
- Face paint/make-up is not permitted to be applied at school.
- Costumes that are beyond normal clothing (for example large wings, hats, etc.) may not be worn on the bus. Items that can be carried in a small bag may be brought on the bus.
When planning your child’s costume with your child, please remember that we have students in the building from kindergarten through fifth grade. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s costume, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or our office.
Parking Lot Safety Reminder
Car Arrival Reminders
- All students must exit out the passenger (curb) side of the car.
- Students should get out of the car anywhere along the curb as marked in yellow on the map below. Please DO NOT wait until you get to the front of the line or near your child's entrance door to let your child exit. This causes congestion and delays for everyone.
- Adults should remain in the car at all times - staff and safeties will be able to assist students.
- Pull up as far as possible along the curb (see yellow markings below) to help fit in as many cars as possible at one time.

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
All families that are picking up students at the end of the day must sign up for Car Rider or Shamrock Pick-Up this school year. Signs from previous years will not work as we are running a different system this year. If you have not signed up yet and gotten yellow 2021-22 dismissal signs, please call our office.
As a reminder, if your child's normal dismissal routine changes for the day, our office needs to be notified no later than 3:30.
Late Buses
From time to time our buses may run late; however, a bus will always come to pick up your child. If the bus is running late, please call the late bus hotline for updated information. All late buses will be listed on the hotline if the driver is running TEN OR MORE minutes late.

Authorization to Administer Medication Form
If your child needs to have medication administered at school, parents must complete an AUTHORIZATION to ADMINISTER MEDICATION FORM. We must have an updated form each school year.
Please click on the link to view. Print out and complete the form. Please drop it off at our main office as soon as possible. You can also email it to our secretaries Diane Yanalunas or Laura Edwards.
HEALTH SCREENING BEFORE YOU COME TO SCHOOL
We continue to urge all families to check your child's health daily and make decisions that will help ensure we keep our students, staff, and community healthy and safe.
Daily Health Checks: Please check your child(ren) daily for ANY signs of illness before attending school. Check for the following symptoms:
- Fever/Chills
- Cough
- Fatigue
- Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
- Muscle of Body Aches
- Headache
- New loss of smell or taste
- Sore throat
- Congestion
- Runny Nose
- Nausea or Vomiting
- Diarrhea
If your child has any of these symptoms, please err on the side of caution and keep them home until they are feeling better! We appreciate your partnership as we continue to work together to keep our community healthy and safe!
