PANTHER BASKETBALL
Girls Basketball
January 30, 2018- The Lady Panthers traveled to Lockhart for their second-round game on Tuesday. They were unable to keep the momentum built during last Friday's win over Seguin, losing 63-29. Dripping Springs comes to Medina Valley Friday evening for the Lady Panthers' final home game of the season.

January 26, 2018-Varsity won their first district game Friday, beating Seguin 42-36. The Ladies shot "lights out" in the first quarter, led by Jolly Segrest and Clarissa Ortega. Seguin fought back to within a few points during the second half, but the Lady Panthers managed to maintain their lead to and get the long-awaited victory.

Varsity Boys
January 30, 2018- Last night the Panthers hosted Lockhart and won by 12. Standout players for the week include Logan Haby, Tanner Haby and Ryan McCauley but all team members had enormous contributions.
January 26, 2018- Last Friday the boys Varsity Basketball team played in Seguin. Although a close game at the end the Panthers lost a close game.
Panther Basketball will resume play on Friday, Feb. 2nd at Dripping Springs.
JV boys
January 30, 2018- last night the Panthers matched up against Lockhart. They were up 25-23 at halftime and pulled it to a 15 point lead. The Lions battled back in the fourth quarter and once again the Panthers ended up on top at the end, 57-53. They travel to Dripping Springs on Friday.
January 26, 2018- The Freshmen boys basketball team played in Seguin last Friday and were up 21-11 at halftime. Seguin battled back but the Panthers earned the close win 34-32!!!
PANTHER SOCCER
Varsity Boys
January 30, 2018- The Boys Varsity soccer team started district play last night at home against Boerne Champion. Champion was in control of the 1st half and had a 4-0 lead at halftime. In the second half the Panthers played very tough trying to claw their way back into the game. The Panthers cut into the lead with a goal from Cade Thayer and the assist from Jose Suarez. The Panthers were unable to find the back of the net again and fall to Champion 5-1. The Panthers next match is Friday night in Marble Falls.

District Record: 0-1-0
January 26, 2018- The Panthers Boys Varsity soccer team traveled to Harlandale Friday night. The 1st half was very close and the Panthers just missed on a few scoring opportunities. Harlandale had the lead at half, 1-0. The second half saw the Panthers struggle defensively, giving up 3 goals. The Panthers did get on the scoreboard with a goal from Cade Thayer and the assist from Dorian Downes. The Panthers fall to the Indians, 4-1.

JV Boys
January 30, 2018- The JV boys’ soccer team played host to the Champion Chargers Tuesday night to open up district play. Things looked promising for the boys as they took a 1-0 lead on a Jaron Ramirez goal, but Champion bounced back with two goals to finish the half to make it a 2-1 Champion lead at halftime. The second half was all Champion, as they tallied 3 unanswered goals to make the final score 5-1. The Panthers travel to Marble Falls this Friday to try and rebound from the loss.
January 26, 2018- The JV boys’ soccer team traveled to Harlandale to face the Indians last Friday, and after a hard fought match fell short 1-0. The boys played very well, and dominated the majority of the game, but were unable to overcome a late first half goal from the Indians. The loss brings the boys’ record to 4-3-.
January 23, 2018- The JV Panther boys traveled to Southwest Legacy high school to take on the Titans Tuesday night, and left with a 7-0 victory. The Panthers started the scoring off early, with Angel Vasquez, Jaron Ramirez and Aaron Ledesma tallying goals in the first half. As the second half ensued, the boys continued to pour it on with Nathaniel Marasigan’s two consecutive goals followed by Gabriel Human, and Jacob Seay finishing up the scoring. Assists for the Panthers came from Lionel Perez and Jose Rodriguez with three assists. The boys preserved the shutout behind a defense led by Pablo Sandoval, Taylor Weir and Nick Carrillo.
Girls Soccer
Varsity and JV Girls
January 30, 2018- Girls soccer traveled to Boerne yesterday to take on the Champion Chargers. Both teams fought hard but were outplayed. JV lost 6-2. Goals were scored by Abril Fernandez, with an assist from Katie Tondre, and Jessica Little. Goalie Evelyn Quintanilla had 11 saves for the night.
Varsity also lost but fought hard throughout the game. They have a big game Friday night against Marble Falls here in Panther Stadium at 5:00. Stick around to cheer them on.
Panther Powerlifting
January 27, 2018- This past Saturday the Boys & Girls Powerlifting Teams competed at the Randolph Ro-Hawks Powerlifting Meet.
Lifters from the Boy’s Team placing in the top five are:
Edward Castillo who placed 2nd in his class
Favian Bazan placed 2nd in his class
Steban Mireles placed 2nd in his class
Jeremy Martinez placed 5th in his class
Edward Royal placed 5th in his class

8A Girls
January 25, 2018- The Panthers hosted the Bandera Lady Bulldogs and controlled the tempo of the game from the tip off. The girls did an amazing job pressing and causing several turnovers. The Panthers capitalized on this and ended the half with a score of 36-11. The girls continued to control the game and came away with a score of 50-28. The scorers for the night are listed below. We wish the girls Good Luck as they play their final game of the season Thursday against the Boerne Greyhounds. Go Panthers Go!!!

7A Girls
January 25, 2018-Last Thursday the 7th Grade A Team played Bandera. The Panthers and the Bulldogs battled from beginning to end exchanging short leads throughout the game. When the final buzzer went off the Panthers won 28-27. Leading the team in points are Kelli Harlow 10 pts, Paiten Trowbridge 7 pts, Haylee Hurtado 6 pts, and Iliana Garcia 1 pt. The Panthers will face a tough Boerne North team in their final game of the season.
7B Girls
January 25, 2018- The 7th Grade B Team defeated Bandera 38-22. Leading the Panthers were Ciara Brown 9 pts, Daniella Guervara 8 pts, Gabriella Ortiz 6 pts, Sierra Estrada and Vivian Ortega 4 pts each, Payton Keller, Valerie Perfecto, and Jordan Blackwell all had 2 pts, and Isabella Terrazas 1 pt. The B Team will also play Boerne North in their last game of the season. Go Panthers!
