Homework
This week the students have their usual spelling practice page. They can chose one of the two activities. Don't forget to practice math facts each day along with reading and fill out the log.
The math facts are so important. We don't want your student moving on to third grade without knowing their basic math facts. So PLEASE practice at home. At school we are practicing with our Rocket Math Activity. And remember it is more about quality than quantity. Drill the facts in small focused time periods rather than long draw out and dreaded sessions. 5 minutes here and there are highly effective!
This week's Special Project is to get connected to the DreamBox site from home. Hopefully, you have your passwords in a handy-dandy place because you will need them to login. Please have your child sign in at least once this week at home. DreamBox does a great job of reinforcing core math concepts and it's fun!!
