From the Principal's Desk...
Welcome Back Blue Jay Family! Tearing down the St. John the Baptist Church festival can only mean one thing: the start of school is right around the corner. This summer has flown by and we have a lot of changes around St. John’s, including multiple new staff members. Please check out our Facebook page to see all of the new additions to the building. I am so excited for the start of this year and seeing all the smiling faces filling the hallways. The school is just not the same without the energy of our students. While I know this is an exciting time, I encourage the parents to read all of the information that will be sent home in the first few weeks of school. Whether this is your first child or your fourth, it is important to read and return all forms as quickly as possible so that the office has all the needed information from your family.
This year we will continue our curriculum alignment at each grade level to ensure that the students are being exposed to the appropriate grade level standards. The teachers have worked really hard over the last six months to align their curriculum to best meet the needs of the students so that they are prepared when they head off to high school. Our number one goal is to provide the best education for the student’s at St. John’s. If you ever have a question or a concern about the curriculum, please reach out to me via my school email or office phone during school hours.
I look forward to seeing everyone at Open House on Monday, 8/15. We start with a prayer service at 6pm. Let’s pack the church and pray for a successful school year for our students.
Sincerely,
Courtney Weinheimer

Landscape improvements along the cemetery driveway enlisted the help of some students during the month of June. | This familiar face was spotted over the summer helping his grandmother plant flowers on the grounds. The St. John's Parish Gardening Group helps to maintain all the landscaping in front of the church. | Our fabulous new digital sign was installed this month. Be sure to check it out when you drive by next time. |
