Banned Books Week Reading Raffle

In honor of Banned Books Week, September 18th-24th, the library will be hosting a Blind Date with a Banned Book Contest beginning in early September. Students can check out a wrapped book, read it, fill out an entry card after reading and they will be entered into a drawing for a $40 Amazon gift card! The library will also create a special display and bulletin board (see Wanda's fantastic work below) to celebrate banned books and the freedom of choice in reading. Also, a big thank you to Starr Roberts for setting up the Blind Date display!! To find out more about Banned Books Week, please visit this link.

New Books and BookFlix Recommendations

Along with all of the brand new books already on display in the library, we have just received a shipment of 11 boxes of new books with even more on the way!!! I am working on adding these new titles to our New Books can be found on the LibGuide under the "New Books" tab or by clicking here. If students are stuck on what to read next, they can fill out our BookFlix Recommendation form and we will create a list of personalized recommendations for them! This form can also be found under the "Find a Good Book" tab on the LibGuide.

Staff Book Club

It's not too late to join the inaugural Doss Staff Book Club! Ideally, I'd like to get this up and running by the end of September. Please fill out this brief survey if you would like to participate.
