“You may be whatever you resolve to be. Determine to be something in the world and you will be something. “I cannot,” never accomplished anything; "I will try,” has wrought wonders.”

This Week's News
Grade Card Update: We do not need to have our grades saved by the district any more because we are not assigning letter grades. So, you do not have to have grade cards finalize by the morning of the 12th, but you DO have to have them printed and ready to send home next Friday, January 16th. I highly recommend printing them well in advance to ensure there aren't any errors. Remember to follow the same printing process as last quarter.
NO Collabs on the 14th. Of course you are encouraged to collab on your own, but there won't be a formal meeting with me and Jessica.TOY/SEY Nominations It’s that time of year again, where we get to nominate one teacher and one support staff employee to represent Ridgeview. We have so many deserving staff members at Ridgeview. Please submit your nominations to Jessica by next Friday, January 16th. Send me an email or put the information in my mailbox. All I need is the persons name and one/two sentences about why you are nominating them. Voting will begin the week of Jan. 19th. Please let me know if you have specific questions.
I-ready testing: The window for I-ready testing begins next week. This is our main indicator of reading growth so please take time to set the tone for a strong testing environment. Encourage your students to really show what they know so we can celebrate their growth.
3rd-5th grade please schedule a time that works for your students to take this on their Chromebooks in your classroom. Remember they need to take both Reading and Math. K-2 teachers please see the attached schedule. All testing needs to be complete by January 30th.
Mid-Continent Read 1-2-3 will visit Grades 1-2-3 on Jan. 15 in AM for 15 minutes sessions. Classrooms are to pair up. Signups are on office desk. See Nancy for any questions.
Learning Cadre Work
Here is a link to the LPS Best Practices Website. It was created by our amazing coaches to support research based instructional best practices. You'll see that all of the information relates to the work we are doing at Ridgeview. Dig in and have fun. We'll be talking more about the info on this page at our next Whole Staff Morning Collab, but I wanted you to have the resource sooner so you could explore.
It mattered to that one...
The student service projects are such a powerful experience!
