Sliding Rocks
This rare occurrence is located in Racetrack Playa, Death Valley, California. Rocks can be unmoving for many years and then all of a sudden appear to have moved. This is very clear, there are long deep tracks in the dried mud behind them. For many years no one knew how they occurred.
They finally caught it on camera and solved the mystery. They are moved by wind, ice, and rain. When it rains, the tilted area gets rain puddles and such. It gets cold enough for water to freeze on top. Then the sun comes out, the ice melts, rafts form and hit the rocks and push them away.
