Last Day to Withdraw with a "W"

When: Tuesday, March 31st

March 31st is the last day to withdraw from semester long classes. If you are considering withdrawing:

  1. Make an appointment to see your Academic Advisor/Counselor for guidance. They can’t make the decision for you, but they can help you understand the risks in a decision to withdraw and show you what options are available to you.
  2. If you are receiving financial aid, find out if you need to pay back any financial aid you already received.
  3. If you still have a balance for your tuition, you are still responsible for any amount you still owe.

If you feel like there isn't enough points left in your class to earn a passing grade, remember: getting a "w" does not affect your GPA, whereas a "D" or "F" does.

If you considering withdrawing from ALL your classes (i.e. Complete Withdrawal):

You will need to fill out a Complete Withdrawal Form. The Complete Withdrawal Form must be submitted to Admissions and Records by the deadline. You will be unable to do drop your last class from your MyUH portal.

Before you submit the complete withdrawal form:

The Financial Aid Office MUST sign the Complete Withdrawal Form first to clear you. Admissions and Records Office will not process your form if you are not cleared by the Financial Aid Office

For more information about the Complete Withdrawal Form and the cutoff time to submit it, contact the Admissions and Records Office at 455-0642.

The Complete Withdrawal Form can be found here:http://www.leeward.hawaii.edu/files/ar_Complete_Withdrawal_Form.pdf

Don't wait until the last minute to make an appointment with your Academic Advisor/Counselor or to complete and submit the Complete Withdrawal Form.
