What can we do at home to continue learning?
You may have noticed that your student does not have daily homework.
Homework is only given for two reasons:
Absent work that needs to be made up OR
Incomplete work from class
Here are some suggestions if you want your student to have extra practice.
No Device Needed:
Daily Fact Grid (multiplication chart 1-12)
Read daily for at least 20 minutes
Practice fact fluency (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division)
Device Needed Options:
Login to Classlink for:
Reflex - Math Facts
Frax - Fraction Understanding
Zearn - Math
Progress Learning (used to be Education Galaxy) - Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies
SORA - Online Library
Epic - Video and Audio Books
Take Home Folders
In take-home folders, you will see if they have unfinished classwork that is homework, graded papers, and important information related to things happening at school.
We ask that parents SIGN the take-home folder once per week to ensure it is cleaned out and graded papers have been seen.
JOIN CLASS DOJO
Why do parents need to join it? It is proven by research that parent involvement positively impacts students' success! Your student and teachers want to highlight all the great things happening in the classroom and show it all to everyone at home. Dojo makes this easy to do!
How do I join my student's class? There is a Class Dojo app for Android and Apple users that is free to download. It's completely free to use at home and at school. You will be able to connect to your student ONE TIME and have access to all of your student's teachers. Only join the HOMEROOM class for your student.
