May is always the busiest month for schools! Here's a list of the EOY activities we have planned to celebrate our hard-working students!
- 8th-Grade Awards Ceremony: May 23rd @ 5pm at Corona High School. All Raney 8th-Grade GPA Awards
- 8th-Grade IB Banquet: May 25th @ 5:30 at The Farm in Norco. 8th-Grade IB students IB Medallions and other program awards
- 8th-Grade Celebration: May 31st @ 1:30pm-3pm at Raney. All Raney 8th-Grade celebration with food, music, games and fun.
- 6th-8th Raney Pep Rally: June 1st @ 1:40pm - 2:30pm at Raney. Whole school awards for clubs, sports, and 6th & 7th IB Certificates of Completion
- Promotion: June 2nd @ 8:30am at Corona High School. 8th-Grade Promotion Ceremony. 6th & 7th report to school for a half day (dismissal at 11:33am)

Congratulations to Collin Oh, Shiah Nobleza Herrera, Surry Yang and Jessica Ayoub for their reclassification to Fluent English Proficient learners! You've worked hard for this achievement and you should be so proud! Way to go!

We will be wrapping up the last week of CAASPP testing this week. If your student was not able to complete any part of the test that was covered the last couple of weeks, there will be time for makeups!
Please help your student remember to charge their Chromebook fully every night and pack it for school every morning.
Whole School - California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)April 24-28: ELA testing
May 1-5: Math testing
May 8-12: Make up testing as needed for students who were absent during previous testing days.

Learner Profile of the Month - Balanced
Each month we celebrate our students who have excelled at embodying the IB Learner Profiles! The month of March was Balanced. Balanced learners understand the importance of intellectual, physical, and emotional balance to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others. They are able to assess and understand their strengths and limitations in order to support their learning and personal development.

IB Grades
As we get closer to the end of Semester 1, you will see MYP grades on Connect that have been labeled “Crit [descriptor]". This is an MYP assessment grade that shows a student's current level of learning and understanding of the MYP Subject Criterion.
