So much fun still to be had...
-BABY CHICKS - Starting tomorrow we will be getting eggs and incubators from the MU Extension program. For the next two weeks we will be learning about life cycles, with some fun crafts and research, and learning to care for the eggs and the chicks. If you are interested in keeping a baby chick at the end of the unit, please email me. NOTE: these are meat chickens, not egg-laying chickens.
-Kaleidoscope / Hallmark Visitor's Center - We are taking our field trip on Friday, May 27th.
-School Kickball Game / Fundraiser for NEHS - There is still time for your student to sign up to be a kickball player or cheerleader for this event, which will be held during school hours. The cost is $2.00.
-Moon Rock Day! - Mrs. Ruckman, another 1st grade teacher, is certified through NASA to handle and present information about some REAL MOON ROCKS - 1st grade will have a day where we get to see them up close and learn more about the moon and its terrain.
