It's Too Cold To Build A Snowman!
Cold Day Challenge 1/31/19
Time to shake off those snow day crazies!
Snow or inclement weather days can be fun, but after several in a row, we start to get a bit stir crazy. Here are some challenges to help "shake it off". Share out your challenges on the Lake Shore Public Schools Facebook page, your school building page, or on Twitter. Include the hashtags #miched and #mylsps. Tagging @drdiponio on Twitter is also a good idea!.
Celebrate by creating your version of the BEST cup of hot chocolate. Remember to ask your parents or adults for help when using the stove or microwave to heat up your recipe. Do you like your chocolate straight up? Some whipped cream on top? Maybe add a few surprises? Share a picture of your hot chocolate and the recipe.

For those really up for a challenge (calling out our fine athletes) - here is a plank challenge for you. Can you Cha Cha Slide your planks? See the video below. Record your version and share.
Challenge #3: Just Read
The best way to find a good book to read is to get recommendations from other readers. After your reading time today (elementary students our goal is at least 15 minutes (without a break!). Teens, your goal is half an hour.) create a video, presentation or drawing with a recommendation of the book you read. Why did you recommend it? What is your favorite part? (Don't give away too much!) Who do you think would most enjoy reading the book? Don't forget to post your pictures and videos on Twitter or Face Book!
