MINDFULNESS TIPS FROM AISD
Pre-K Leading Mindfulness @ Pillow School AssemblyShout out to Ms. Zamarron's Pre-K class at Pillow Elementary for leading the whole school in mindfulness during assembly. Empowering students to lead each other is one of the most powerful ways to practice mindfulness. | Relationships MatterThis is a slide from #TraumaCon2017 last week that was attended by several AISD staff members. It speaks to the importance of relationships. Mindfulness can help build stronger relationships, but it can't build the relationship alone. | School Wellness Center During a trip to Washoe County School District (NV) to learn about their SEL implementation, we saw a "Wellness Center" that is utilized by students & teachers. It's similar to our Mindfulness Rooms/Studios/Chill Room. Call it whatever you'd like, it's a great space to create for self-regulation. |
