Latinx Parent Alliance Hosts First Event

On November 16, the Latinx Parent Alliance Parent Group held an event called "Pan Dulce with the Principal". The purpose of the event was to meet with Spanish-speaking parents of Latino students attending Walnut High School and gain valuable feedback on how we can better support our Latino parents and students. It was also a great opportunity for our parents to network with each other.

Remembering WHS Legend Jerry Dutton

It is with great sadness to share that Coach Jerry Dutton passed away on Friday, November 12. Coach Dutton came over from Nogales High School with Principal Ken Gunn in 1968 to help open our school. Both Ken and Jerry were UCLA graduates, which inspired WHS school colors and fight songs. Coach Dutton invested over forty years at Walnut High School as a teacher, coach, summer school administrator, and GLC. After he retired in 2005, he came back to coach football for another 10+ years. Coach Dutton LOVED Walnut High School, the students, the staff, and the community. Below is service information and details if you would like to join us on December 11.

He will be missed!

SCHOOL LUNCH POLICY

Due to safety concerns, we DO NOT accept student lunches in the office. We understand the importance of student nutrition, but we encourage students to either purchase lunch at school or bring their lunch from home. Food, drinks, or other items are NOT to be passed to students through the fence. This is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Please Note: Parents can now access the Food Services Department from our website under the Parents tab. On that page, parents can set up and deposit funds into their student's lunch account for purchasing lunch on campus.
