Virtual Reality

PLAEA partners with ByteSpeed to offer VR Course

This Virtual Reality (VR) certification course is designed for educators who are new to virtual reality and want to learn about how VR can profoundly change how we teach, how we engage, and how we learn.

The course will be hands-on, and demonstrate how to move around in VR and how to interact with the objects in your world. Educators will have the opportunity to broaden their professional network and dive into the power of experiential learning using virtual and augmented learning experiences.

This workshop is designed for all educators. The workshop will provide real and

theoretical classroom hands-on experiences for implementing VR in your classroom.

VR workshop participants will take away a broad range of experiential VR simulations, curriculum development, and high-quality educational visualizations. Instructors will develop a course plan to integrate VR and AR into daily lessons, and will be confident in using the hardware and software in the educational environment.

At the end of the course, you will receive a VR Certified Educator certificate.

This free training will be held from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Oct. 2-3 at the PLAEA office in Pocahontas. Lunch will be on your own each day. Class is limited to 40 participants.

Register here by Sept. 20.
