Allowing students to share what they know helps them take ownership of their mathematical knowledge. Through mathematical discourse, students can work together to make sense of mathematics. Check out the link below for a list of 100 questions to help you promote mathematical discourse in your classroom. You'll find questions for all grade levels!

Hagood's Tutoring Sessions

Students have been selected based on needs and will get invited to come to tutoring. It is based on a first come fist served basis. Tutoring will take place from Nov.2nd -Dec.15th on Wednesdays for Math and Thursdays for Reading and Writing. This is a title one funded activity.

Teachers we still have an opening for a fourth grade math lead tutor. You will work on Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:00 and coaches will be helping plan the curriculum. Let Kayla McCollum know if you are interested.

A tutor assistant is also still needed to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 -4:00 to assist with snacks, recess, and to float around for assistance. Let Kayla McCollum know if you are interested.
