December Chautauqua

Winter Break

We are almost there! There is no school and no Chautauqua December 23-January 1. Chautauqua resumes when the students return on January 4, 2021!

Enjoy the break with your children and families and have a happy and safe holiday season.

December Tuition

Tuition rates do not change for December or any month throughout the year. Rates are calculated based on the total number of days in session per year and a monthly tuition rate was totaled that would remain constant throughout the ten months of the school year.

Please keep in mind that all tuition is due on the first of every month. If you want to avoid paying a late fee, please enroll in our auto-draft program. Click the link below to sign up.

Early Release

The District will release classes early on Friday, January 15. Chautauqua will be open for extended hours for students that are enrolled in aftercare on Fridays only. If your child is not enrolled in the program you will need to make alternate arrangements for your child on that day.

Full Day January 19, 2021

The last day to enroll in the Full Day on January 19 will be Friday, January 8, or until the program is full. Space is limited so registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The program will be held at Journey Elementary School. Accounts must be completely up to date to participate in the Full Day programs. Students must bring a sack lunch on these days as our cafeterias are not open. Registration is available on our website.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, Chautauqua follows the procedures below:

  • If there is a delayed start to the school day, Chautauqua operates on a regular day's schedule.
  • If school is canceled for the day Chautauqua is NOT in session. You will receive a credit for the day if your child was scheduled to be in attendance up to the first ten snow days.
  • If school is released early, Chautauqua provides care at the time of release. We do ask that parents arrive as soon as possible to pick up students so that we can ensure that staff will have an opportunity to make it home safely.
  • It is a good idea to update your alternate pickup list for times when the weather creates a delay in traffic and prohibits you from picking up your child on time.

Quarantine/Covid 19 Letters

If your child has been placed in quarantine or has tested positive for Covid 19 please remember that in order to return, your child must have a letter of release from quarantine from the SCCDPH and have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours prior to returning. If you are bringing your child to Chautauqua you must provide a copy of the letter to our staff so they can give a copy of the letter to the nurse when they arrive in order for your child to remain at school.

2020 Tax Statements

2020 tax statements will be emailed by the January 31st deadline. Individual requests will not be honored before that time. There is no need to email a request for a statement before the deadline.

Your patience is appreciated.

Mask Policy

Please remember that parents are not allowed in the building without proper face coverings. For the safety of all the students in our programs, you must wear a mask to sign your student(s) in or out of the program. We have masks available if you forget yours however you must have one to gain access to our building.
