Kurzwahl 3000 is especially useful because it keeps various types of learners in mind. I do think that students would feel a lot more integrated if they use this versatile software, which targets every learner, which is very significant as mentioned in the reading. I do think that students become more independent if they have software available to them. They are able to navigate through it with help and learn the necessary tools. Afterwards they can embark on their own individual journey of discovery and progress, which is essential in every learning environment. The fact that the software is available to anyone who has access to the Internet once installed, allows students and even parents to help with the continuation of studies after class.

How and why I would use the available software: Kurzwahl 3000/ Kurzwahl 3000-firefly
Thank you so much for sharing this useful tool. I would definitely use this software with English language learners and students who need assistance to improve their literacy skills. Students who have low vision for instance can use the auditory tools, whereas learners who have physical limitations could definitely utilize the visual tools. In addition, I believe that English language learners would be able to successfully use the software to conduct online research, read online books through book share, or work on an essay. I like that it has word prediction, outline capabilities, a talking spellchecker, and a translator. It truly caters towards the diverse needs of learners.
When English language learners, as well as other students write their essays, they can start with an outline with the help of the software. The Kurzweil 3000-firefly app, which is free is wonderful for readings, or books. Students can use their iPads or laptops to conduct reading through their auditory senses. This is particularly helpful for students who have low vision. It is also useful for ELLs, for they are able to listen to proper pronunciation, as well as improve their literacy skills.
I think it is great to check what Universities offer students who need assistance. I would use the site to check for updates, educational tools, and ways to help students improve and stay motivated. This is a great tool.
