Welcome! Our department created this newsletter as a method of sharing our program with our campus and our community. We hope that we can gain collaboration opportunities with other teachers, and within our community, as well as showcase the amazing things taking place in our classrooms. Below are some helpful terms to understand our jargon:

CTE Advisory Council Meeting
This event is open to any community members, parents of CTE students, and students enrolled in a CTE course. This event allows members of these communities to offer input and insight on our programs within the Agua Fria Union High School District as well as offer support of these programs. Please reach out to a CTE teacher for more details!

CTSO Officer Training for the District
On September 10th CTSO programs across the district from all 5 campuses met at Canyon View High School to conduct officer training for their respective teams. We had over 200 people in attendance and were able to plan programs of work, learn personalities, and time management skills. The event was coordinated by the District CTE team with the help of Mrs. Brothers, Mrs. Cox, and the CV FFA officer team.

Mrs. Cox invited Arizona Farm Bureau representative, Katie Atkins, to come and speak about the misconceptions of agriculture to her AG I classes
Cell Energy in Action
Students in Mrs. Brothers AG II classes studied the relationship of cellular respiration and photosynthesis using snails and water plants
School Gardens
Students enrolled in AG worked during Jag Success to help repair and build garden beds, and planted new crops for the fall
