Toyota in their commercial “The Longest Chase” (2016). Suggest that the new version of the Toyota Prius is just as quiet and fuel efficient as before but has enough power to outrun the police. In the commercial the bank robber’s car gets towed and they are forced to use a Prius to outrun the police; in the act of fleeing they speed away from the cops using sports car like maneuvers and also are able to sneak past sleeping cops at a road block. Toyota shows that the new car isn’t a lame slow car in order to appeal to a younger audience to try and make the car more popular. The audience that this commercial was intended for is young adults who want an affordable good looking car in which they do by using a police chase.
