4th Grade November Newsletter
Aue Elementary
Hello Families,
Thank you for helping make Gatorfest 2021 a huge success! We so appreciate your donations toward our grade level baskets. Also, thank you to those who volunteered to work a booth during Gatorfest. This event simply would not be possible without our amazing Aue families!
On Monday, November 8th, 4th grade students will be taking a Reading Interim Assessment. This is a practice STAAR test. It is extremely important that your child attends school this day, as it is an opportunity for him/her to become familiar with using the online testing platform and embedded tools.
As a reminder, please be sure you are checking your child's grade reports in Schoology regularly. This is where you will see assignments marked as missing and low grades that need to be redone. We are posting almost all of our lessons and assignments in Schoology. If your child is absent, it is his/her responsibility to check Schoology and make up any missed work.
Thank you for all of your support at home. Feel free to email your homeroom teacher if you have any questions.

How Do I Know Which Assignments Need to Be Completed and When They Are Due?
Google Tips
- If you are experiencing issues accessing your Google Suite (Gmail), please use the following link to access your Google applications directly at http://gmail.com/.
- Students must use their full NISD email address to log in. For example: firstname.lastname@students.nisd.net.
- Be sure that your NISD student SIGNS OUT of all other Gmail/G Suite accounts BEFORE they login for the day.
- Students should then login to the NISD Portal, click the gmail icon (so that they have accessed google), click the Schoology Icon, then locate the Zoom link in Schoology for the morning meeting.
- Mr. Waite has created a video to model Schoology navigation.
