Good First Instruction - Notes from your principal
All Star Team at the Best School Ever, please complete the climate survey this week with your grade level team for guidance. I know we can be the #1 school in Dallas ISD on climate survey too! The superintendent stated that Burnet is the best school he has visited. Great things are happening at Burnet everyday. All STARS PTO Nights!
Every month we have had a PTO night at Burnet to include a specials teacher! Last Monday we had Kinder and Music present. Thank you!
Key Action 2: High Quality Instruction and Engagment
Ms. Mirabal's Kinder Class reading and writing in Math!
Students in Ms. Mirabal's Kinder Class were proud to show us all the sentences they write during the writing workshop.
Ms. Rodriguez' 1st grade class engaged in different math stations.
Students in Ms. Villanueva's class use their journals as they work through RM City.
4th Grade students in Ms. Villanueva's class taking notes in Science as they learn about Erosion.
5th Grade Science class doing controlled experiments in the lab.
Ms. Kelly works with small group instruction in the Science lab!
Ms. Burgos ensures that students receive help one-on-one!
Ms. Chavez works with a 2nd grader one-on-one!
Key Action 3: Data-Driven Instruction
1st Grade are Soaring!
Ms. Gonzalez' 1st grade class are soaring to greater levels of success with data-driven instruction. Students click in their answers for DOL and immediately see the results. Teacher uses this data to drive instruction.
