Andrew Jackson
Andrew Jackson was the seventh President of The United States (1829–1837). Born in Tennessee , Jackson was a politician and army general who defeated the British at the Battle of New Orleans (1815). A person with a strong figure who , as president he got rid of the National Bank and started to move the Native Americans to Reservations.
Jackson was nicknamed Old Hickory because of his toughness and aggressive personality; he fought in battles (or duels) that were fatal to some of his opponents.

The Trail of Tears
The Trail of Tears is when Andrew Jackson forced thousands of civilized Cherokees out their own land, and forced them to walk over 2,000 miles in harsh winter weather which caused over 4,000 Cherokees to die. The worst part is that this horrible event would have never happened if Andrew Jackson listened to Congress.
The National Bank
The National Bank was a bank that was made to stabilize the economy, but Andrew Jackson didn't sign the papers for the funding of the National Bank which caused the economy to weaken and many people to get laid off. Andrew Jackson weakened the economy, caused people to get fired all because he thought the National Bank was unconstitutional because it wasn't in the Constitution.
South Carolina/ Nullification Crisis
The Nullification Crisis is when South Carolina announced that it was going to nullify two Tariffs, The Tariff of 1828 and the Tariff of 1832. When Andrew Jackson heard of this he demanded that they take off the nullification. When they didn't take off the nullification Andrew got Congress to pass a act called the Force Act which allowed him to use the military to threaten a state into doing what he wanted them to do.
