TOWN OF LOS GATOS 2018 STUDENT TRAVEL SURVEY
Thank you to all of the families who have completed the Student Travel survey that was mentioned in last week's newsletter. So far, thirty families have filled out the information. We would love to include your voice in this survey.
The Town of Los Gatos, in partnership with Safe Routes to School, is soliciting input on what improvements will be beneficial to school students who walk and bike to school. Your input will contribute to the Town’s efforts in competing in grant funding and designing better projects.
We encourage all Alta Vista parents to participate so the survey will result in a very high response rate, which will capture the diverse views of the community. This survey takes about one minute to complete and does not ask personal information. Please complete the survey today: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TLG-SR2S. Thank you for your participation.
Walk & Roll to School Days November 14-16
Walk N’ Roll is a program encouraging children to be active by walking, biking, or scootering to school. Students who walk or bike/scooter to school on a specified day are eligible for prize drawings and points. This program is running throughout Los Gatos. It is sponsored by the city and our Home and School Club.
On November 14, 15, and 16th, students who participate by walking, biking, scootering, or carpooling to school will receive a thank you card that can be turned in to a school-wide drawing for a variety of prizes. Winners will be announced on November 26th and will be shared in an upcoming Vista Views newsletter.
We are still looking for volunteers to help us distribute the thank you cards on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning. If you would like to be a part of this important effort, please contact anisatsimmons@gmail.com or sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b094ba8a72ea02-alta1.
More information can be found in the Walk and Roll flyer at the bottom of the newsletter.
