Strategy 2: Visualizing
Every good reader turns words into pictures. If you're not doing that, you're not comprehending. This is the message we are driving home with every text, every assignment, every minute of the next two weeks.
Fish Cheeks
Your students will be reading "Fish Cheeks" by Amy Tan on Monday. It's such a beautifully written piece for visualizing. It also has a great message about something you're probably experiencing now: parents may seem to do nothing but make your life miserable when actually they are trying to make it the best it can be. Enjoy! https://www.commonlit.org/texts/fish-cheeks
