Syllabus, Student Information, and Student Handbook
Many of you have already returned your documents. Thank you! If you have not, please make sure to read, sign, and return the following:
- Your child's 2nd Grade syllabus
- The first 3 pages in your child's agenda (The Student Handbook)
- Student Information sheet
- The Homeroom App and Class Newsletter Permission Form (coming home today!)
If you have not yet returned any of these items, please send them on Monday with your child in the take-home folder they bring home with them on this afternoon!
After School Clubs and Aftercare
Next week our After School Clubs and regular Aftercare begin. This year was a little different for choosing clubs. If your child will be staying for clubs, they will automatically be assigned their clubs each day. If your child is taking music lessons or will be doing one of the paid after school clubs, please let me know this! I will have a complete list of where students will go each afternoon, but I want to make sure your 2nd graders get to the correct place each day. Yesterday you received an email from me with your child's official club schedule. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Stay Connected with Our Class!
Coming home with your child today is a quick permission form to allow your chid's photo/video to be uploaded to our Homeroom App and Newsletter. Please return this with your child in their take-home folder on Monday. Once I have received these permission forms, I will start to post some fun pictures and videos of our busy days!
Simply click the link below to be connected! :)

Students in our 2nd grade class have a chance to earn 'signatures' for good behavior. When a student completely fills up a signature page, they are able to visit our prize box! Please feel free to send in items that your child is excited and interested about... this will be great motivation for good behavior!
Here are some examples of appropriate prizes:
- Small Toys
- Pencils
- Small Puzzles
-Coloring Books
- Erasers
- Stickers
- Notepads/Journals
- Pencil grips
- Books
**PLEASE, NO FOOD/CANDY ITEMS!
Please email me with any questions or concerns!!
Uniform Reminder
I am seeing a few uniform issues in our classroom. Please make sure you read through the uniform policy carefully to ensure your child is following the school dress code each day.
Home Visit Program
Home visits are a special program offered by FSAPS to help build the paren, student, and teacher relationship. This is an opportunity for your child's teachers to visit and get a closer look at their life at home. This helps a teacher to know more about each of his/her students, and build a strong relationship between school and family. These are optional, but if you would be interested in planning a home visit for your child, please see the information below.
How Can You Schedule a Home Visit?
This process is very simple. Please send an e-mail to our home visit coordinator, Mrs. Unal, at junal@fultonscienceacademy.org. In that email, please provide three available dates for your child's home visit. We will get back to you to confirm a date. At least two teachers will be together for home visits; specific names/subjects will be dependent upon teacher availability.
For any questions you have about this program, please send an e-mail to junal@fultonscienceacademy.org.
Please note: the best times to schedule a home visit are weekdays after 5:00pm, and during the weekends, except Sunday mornings.
