PBIS EVENT LAST WEEK
The feedback was quite positive.
After debriefing we have a nice list of amendments to our process for next fall as well as a few good ideas to consider regarding future assemblies and how the process will evolve into the next school year. We intend on creating a more flexible schedule next time around, so student leaders can be incorporated into the process and help to review expectations at each station.
Safety Patrol participation is a must for next year too. Sue Lyons is also considering the reinstitution her Brave Coaches/Mentors - a successful and empowering program that she has done in the past.
More to come...

January 19, 2019: From Practical Ed. Tip of the Week -
The Internet Archive contains one of the biggest collections of books that are in the public domain. Before sending students to the Internet Archive to look for free books you should be aware that it does contain some works that you definitely wouldn't want elementary school students to read. Therefore, the best way for teachers to use the Internet Archive is to find what they want students to access then download it and place it into a Google Drive folder or OneNote folder for students to access without having to actually go to the Internet Archive. Watch this video to see how to download books from The Internet Archive.
