How lucky are we?! A big thanks to Andrea Garrett, Room Mom extraordinaire, for planning a fun mini-party for our lucky little elephants yesterday for St. Patty's Day! The kids had a blast making green flubber, going on a scavenger hunt, and eating some yummy cereal! Warm thanks as well to Mrs. Vidnovic, Mrs. Cruz, Mrs. Shawler, and Mrs. Harris for helping out!

Lawrence Hall of Science Field Trip

Thursday, March 31st, 8:45am

Lawrence Hall of Science, Berkeley, CA, United States

Berkeley, CA

Don't forget! We are going on a field trip to the Lawrence Hall of Science at UC. Berkeley. We will be participating in the Giant Geometry class and will get to explore the museum when our class is not in session. The Giant Geometry class allows students to experiment building two- and three-dimensional shapes with giant tinkertoys, some being large enough for students to stand in! They will compare the stability of triangles and squares and, just as engineers do, use what they’ve learned to keep their own giant geometric structures standing.

We will be leaving school at 8:45am and returning to school at 2:30pm. The permission slip accidentally marked no for a sack lunch. Your child will need a peanut-free lunch in a disposable container.

Thank you to Mrs. Harris for coordinating drivers and chaperones!
