Reopening Informaion

Last week all of our families received a message ("News from USD") from Superintendent Denise Coleman. Based on current and trending health metrics, and in alignment with Governor Newsom's recommendations, I am excited to announce we will be offering in-person instruction for Kindergarten - 2nd beginning February 22, followed by grades 3rd - 5th beginning March 8 for those families who are interested. (These dates are contingent on meeting and sustaining certain county-wide metrics)

This past week our Kindergarten - 2nd grade families were surveyed. Third-Fifth Grade families will be surveyed in the coming week.

For more information on reopening, join Mrs. Taormina in a Principal's Coffee Friday, February 5th at 11:00 am.

To confirm your attendance, all attendees must pre-register by filling out the Google Form below. You will be sent a ZOOM link Friday morning.

Principal's Kindness Challenge

Let's show some Oster love to our local healthcare workers! My principal's challenge for students and families is to create a Valentine(s) for them. A box will be placed outside the office (8:00-3:30) for students to drop off their Valentine(s). Friday, February 12th, I will deliver them to our local healthcare facilities. My goal is to collect over 500. WE CAN DO THIS! #Go Cougars

Yearbook Challenge

HATS OFF TO OSTER! - This month’s photo challenge is FUN hats. Put on your favorite, fancy, whacky, dapper, festive, or crazy hat, and snap a picture. Make sure your hat AND your face are in the picture. What kind of hats? Basically ANY HAT EXCEPT a baseball hat. Unless that baseball hat has giant sequins, or spikes, or ears, or horns, or a fake ponytail, or a beard attached. Then it also qualifies as a FUN hat. Send your photos to oster.usd.yearbook@gmail.com - subject Hat Challenge.
