Gay-Straight Alliance

The Flower Mound High School Gay-Straight Alliance is meeting this Wednesday, January 25th, at 7:30am and 3:30pm in room 1405 (that’s Mr. Laferriere’s room!). Come on by if you want to discuss LBGTQ issues or to just have a safe place to talk to like-minded individuals. We hope to see you there!

In-N-Out Burger

Are you a fan of In-N-Out Burger? Well, you're in luck! The In-N-Out truck will be on the FMHS campus this Saturday evening from 5 to 6:30pm in the front circle parking lot. For only $5, you get a burger, chips, and a drink. All proceeds go to the FMHS Theater Department. Tickets will be on sale at all lunches at FMHS Main this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The number of tickets will be limited. Don't miss out on the In-N-Out folks being at your own school! Come on out!

Lego Challenge

The FM9 library and Learning Lab will be open during lunch and before school for lego challenges until Wednesday. Stop by and see what you can build!

National Peanut Butter Day

Its National Peanut Butter day! Who doesn't love peanut butter? To those of you allergic i apologize, to celebrate let's go through two simple peanut butter snacks everyone will love!

No-Bake Peanut Butter Pretzel Balls

To cure a sweet and salty dessert craving, look no further!” This bite-size, no-bake dessert is insanely quick and tasty.


In a food processor, combine 1 cup pretzels, ½ cup creamy peanut butter, ¼ cup powdered sugar and 1 tbsp. softened butter. Form mixture into 1-inch balls and freeze for at least 30 minutes. In the meantime, melt 6 oz. of milk chocolate. Dip chilled peanut butter balls in chocolate and transfer to the refrigerator to chill until set. -Recipe by People Magazine

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Recipe

Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Trader Joe's Chocolate-Covered Peanut Butter Crackers

makes 1 quart 1 1/2 cups whole milk1 tablespoon cornstarch,2 ounces cream cheese at room temperature,2 cups heavy cream1/2 cup light brown sugar1 1/2 tablespoons light corn syrup 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup creamy natural peanut butter, 1 container Trader Joe's Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Crackers, frozen solid and chopped in half.
