Principal's Message

Dear Edison Families,

It is no secret that this past year has been filled with constant change and numerous challenges for many within our community. As we move into the final month of school it’s not lost on me the great lengths by which families have rallied around our kids, our school, and each other. Our hope is that with each successful week of blended learning we move that much closer to providing kids a greater sense of normalcy and eventually a return to full in person learning. It likely won’t all happen over the next few weeks, but we’re getting closer each day, and we will get there -- together!

From the beginning of the pandemic, all of our entire Edison staff has worked tirelessly to offer high-quality lessons and learning experiences for students in person and online as well as fostered a safe, healthy and positive environment. We are grateful for the ongoing partnership of our entire community for supporting the efforts of our amazing staff.

Together, I hope families will join me in celebrating our tireless faculty and staff by donating a small treat or two for our Grab and Go Staff Appreciation Breakfast Bar, or GAGSABB for short ;) Simply drop off an item with our main office this week or next, and we will put the items together for a tasty dose of appreciation. Nothing says we care like something yummy :) And, if we can keep this between us, it’s sort of a surprise ;)

We remain grateful for your continued support and encouragement as we navigate these final weeks #edisonstrong #together!

Sincerely,

Mr. Lopez

Big picture

Please Clear your Child’s Absence - In Person Instruction

Reminder that families must clear their child’s absence before their child is allowed to return to in person instruction. To avoid your child being returned to the health office please be sure to call our office at (909)984-5618 to clear your child’s absence before they return to in person school the next day.

Students Presenting Symptoms at Home

Parents are asked to screen their child for COVID-19 symptoms each morning before they send them to school using our Daily Checklist for Families. This shared responsibility is critical to our ability to keep our schools open for blended learning, we ask that all parents keep their students at home if they are sick.

Please report your student’s illness with details of all symptoms to our health office at 909-984-5618. Our Health Office will follow up on all students that are at home with COVID-19 symptoms.

Student Access to Learning While at Home

It is important to note that a student who is sent home, stays home, or has been exposed to COVID-19 and is at home in quarantine, will be able to access classroom instruction online from home if they are healthy enough to participate.
