Scholastic Newspapers
Dear Parent/Caregiver,
Scholastic News and SuperScience are magazines we’d like to get for every student in our class. Each issue of Scholastic News helps build their English-language skills with daily news and current events. SuperScience includes current nonfiction articles that bring science concepts to life and motivate students to think like scientists and engineers.
Your help in making these valuable resources a part of your child’s education is greatly appreciated. Please send cash or a check made payable to GES in the amount of $14.00, so that we can start using the magazine as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support in helping us make your child’s education meaningful and successful.

A Note From Your Teacher
Please ensure that your child is charging their Chromebook nightly. Many students are expressing they charge the Chromebook, but the battery is still drained when they get to school. Fall Book Fair
"This week is the GES Book Fair AND Red Ribbon week, and we still need some help! If you have time to volunteer, please do! Here is a link to our Book Fair Volunteer Signup.
In case you didn't know, the GES Library benefits from our book fair. We get to keep 25% of our profit in cash, and that money is used for great things! Last year, we purchased 10 phones for Google Expeditions AND had author Susan Stevens Crummel visit. This year, we will use the money to bring author Aaron Reynolds to our school in February. This will be a special treat for our students... he's kind of a big deal. :)
This week will be loaded with fun events, from Lunch with a Loved One to a late shopping time before our PTA meeting. This flyer was sent home, but just in case, click here to see what's happening this week!"
