1:35 Dismissal Every Monday for Grades TK-2

Principal's Message

We had an AMAZING first two days of school! It has been so wonderful to be back together again and to welcome our newest TK and Kindergarten students and their families. Each week we will share with you about what's happening in our school.

Thank you to those parents who are using our drive through pick up process. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation. As a reminder, left turns into the parking lot are not allowed during pick up time. We have been able to get everyone through the line within 15 minutes. If you want to talk with the teacher after school, please park on the street and walk in so that our line can move more quickly. Mondays we have all grades dismissed at 1:35. Please make sure you are in the correct lane so that we can get you into the right zone. See the map and instructions below for more information about pickup and drop off.

Tuesday, August 23, is our Back to School Night from 5:00-6:30. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn more about your child's classroom and ways that you can be involved in our school. We also have our Book Fair opening that night as well.

Friday, August 26, is our first spirit day. It's Luau Day! Our PTA is hosting a movie night in our multipurpose room. See the PTA section below for more information. Thank you to our very supportive PTA for providing school supplies for all of our students. We are so fortunate to have such an active PTA. Please consider joining and becoming part of this amazing group.

I look forward to meeting all you of and getting to know you better. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the school office or you can reach me by email at

Have a wonderful weekend!

Ms. Cockerill

School Site Council

It is time for the annual election of Parent Representatives to the McKinley School Site Council. The School Site Council meets monthly to review school data. They develop and approve an action plan for school improvement. A total of five parents/community members serve on Site Council. We have 3 open positions this year. Please volunteer or nominate someone you feel would be a good member. If you have questions, please contact the school office.
