SH Back-To-School 2021-2022 Updates
Please Read All Information Carefully!
Welcome Back Sheridan Hill!
- Please note that COVID-related protocols will continue to be communicated out by the District as they are finalized.
- One additional item - If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in a teacher aide position or a lunch monitor position (or serving as a substitute in these roles) please fill out the application on the District website. We definitely need substitutes and might have openings at the elementary level.
We will send any further opening updates and reminders as we get closer to the start of the school year. We look forward to seeing you on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 8, 2021!

Teacher Placement Letters
Teacher Placement Letters will be mailed out on August 25, 2021. Sometimes the delivery can take up to a week, so thank you for your understanding.
PLEASE NOTE: Elementary families should not reference the Parent Portal at this time for teacher placement information because it is dynamically changing until letters go out in the mail!
SH Arrival and DIsmissal Form- Required for Each Student
Please click the button below for the arrival/dismissal survey. Please complete the survey for each child attending Sheridan Hill Elementary. We plan to run arrival/dismissal like we did last year. It is imperative to have your dismissal plans prior to the start of the school year to streamline our pick-up process. This survey is due no later than Tuesday, August 31.
If you have questions regarding bus transportation, you can reach the Transportation Office at 407-9500.

7:30-7:55 a.m. Drop-Off Time
7:55 a.m. Day Starts
8:00 a.m. Students should be in classrooms for attendance
2:22 p.m. Classes End - Bus boarding begins
2:25 p.m. Parent Arrivals for Pick-Up
IMPORTANT: Parents picking up students should not arrive until 2:20 p.m. to allow for smooth traffic flow while buses are on campus. We appreciate your assistance with this process during dismissal times.

SCHOOL LUNCH/BREAKFAST PROGRAM
Through the Free Breakfast and Lunch Program, continued from Federal Grant during the Pandemic, your child can receive free breakfast and lunch. If interested in lunch, your child can sign up/order each day in their classroom. If you are interested in a free breakfast coming home with your child every day (M-F), please Click Here to sign up and breakfast will be delivered at the end of the day to bring home each day.

New Student Events
Kindergarten Orientation and Supply Drop-Off Event, August 31st 3:00- A mailing has been sent to all registered kindergarten students with teacher placement and times for the sessions. Please contact the SH Main Office if you have not received your kindergarten orientation and placement information (716-407-9250; lborchert@clarenceschools.org)
New Students in Grades 1-5 Orientation & Welcome Event, August 31st at 4:30- A mailing has been sent to all incoming new student families to join us in welcoming you to Sheridan Hill with building tours and popsicles on the playground.
1st Grade Parent Orientation Event, August 30th from 3:30-4:00 - Parents of 1st-grade students are invited to a brief information session and building tour.
A LOOK AHEAD-- VIRTUAL SEPTEMBER OPEN HOUSE DATES
Grade K-2 Open House: September 22, 2021
There will be staggered times for grade-level presentations to accommodate families with multiple children at Sheridan Hill. More information is forthcoming at the beginning of school!
