Coming up...
Important Dates in Term 4
We hope you all enjoyed your long weekend to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II. It is certainly a nice way for us to end the term with a four-day week.
The replacement of the stairs and balcony for the year 4 & 5 two-level block will start on the first Monday of the holidays. This will be a major demolition and construction area, therefore the school grounds will be closed during the holidays. Our holiday programme, Kids Zone, will use the bottom field and playground during this time. Please do not use the school playgrounds during the holidays. The major work should be completed during this time, allowing for our classes to have minimal disruption once we return to school.
Rooms 10, 11, 12 and 13 will meet at school on the first day back (17 October). Whanau are welcome to join us for a hīkoi across to the university to see where their children will be learning. We feel very fortunate to have this facility on our doorstep allowing for minimal disruption for our students.
This week it is Chinese Language week and we look forward to daily information in class about the language, culture and some geography.
On Thursday evening we will be running the junior and senior disco. Thanks to PTA and Becca in the office for organising these events. Please see the information below regarding ticket sales etc.
Enjoy the holidays, I know that many families will be travelling overseas; safe travels!
